PICNIC DINNER in CARBONDALE
****FOR THOSE OF YOU GOING TO CARBONDALE NEXT WEEK****
Carbondale has a large City Market (KIng Soopers) on the SW corner of Hwy 33 (Rd toward Redstone) and Main St. (close to Days Inn). It has a Deli/Bakery but no salad bar. The Deli will make up fresh salads, etc.
Then, three blocks further south on Hwy 33, turn left on Euclid Ave and Sopris City Park is in the third block on left. It has a covered picnic area, benches, tables, etc. I'll probably have a picnic dinner there on eve. of July 8. Love to have some of you join me.

ALTERNATE RIDE by Danny 7:45 AM at RTD Station Downtown
I am offering an alternate mini ride for Friday morning consisting of unpaved and paved roads. It is short, about 21-25 miles, without coffee or potty stops along the way. This is not an especially scenic route as we traverse many areas that suffered forest fire damage a couple of years ago. We are simply exploring parts of Boulder County we don’t often visit.
The route is Nederland, Sugarloaf Road, some dirt turn off that wiggles down into the Logan Hill neighborhood if we can find it, Four Mile Canyon, perhaps Poor Man Road, then down into Boulder by Sunshine Canyon or the Boulder Creek Path. Only at the start is there much going up. Predominately we will be going down.
We should be back in plenty of time for you to get to the grocery to pick up your hot dogs and fizzy beverages for the week end.
Meet at the Walnut Street Bus Station in plenty of time to catch the 8:03AM bus to Nederland, with $2.50 exact change in hand.
Call Marion Gately at 303-443-7623 for time and meeting location of the next ride.
